How It Works
Every SMP journey at The PMU Clinic follows a structured, clinical process — from initial assessment through to your final session.
Consultation & Patch Test — £30
All SMP clients begin with a £30 consultation, fully redeemable against your treatment cost. We assess your scalp, discuss your goals, review your medical history, and perform a mandatory patch test to confirm suitability. This appointment is essential and cannot be skipped.
Treatment Planning
Following your consultation, we design a bespoke treatment plan — including hairline design, pigment colour matching, and the number of sessions required. All clients require a minimum of four sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart.
SMP Sessions
Each session builds on the last, gradually layering pigment to create depth, density, and a natural appearance. Sessions typically last two to four hours. You may experience mild redness and tenderness for 24–48 hours afterwards.
Aftercare & Review
We provide full written aftercare instructions and schedule a review appointment to assess retention and healing. Touch-up sessions can be booked as needed, and a colour boost is recommended every four to six years to maintain vibrancy.
