Preparing for Surgery
Healthy follicles and a well-conditioned scalp environment give transplanted grafts the best possible chance of survival. Pre-operative treatment can reduce inflammation, improve scalp circulation, and address any underlying conditions that could compromise your results.
Supporting Recovery
The weeks following transplant surgery are critical. Post-operative treatment supports graft survival, reduces inflammation, promotes healing, and helps stimulate the growth phase of transplanted follicles. We work alongside your surgical team to ensure your recovery plan is safe and appropriate.

Microneedling

Controlled micro-injury to the scalp stimulates the body's natural healing response, increasing growth factor release and improving blood supply to follicles. Suitable pre-transplant to optimise scalp health, and post-transplant once healing is confirmed.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

PRP uses growth factors derived from your own blood to stimulate follicular activity and support tissue repair. Widely used in post-transplant recovery protocols to improve graft survival and accelerate the growth phase.
Polynucleotides

Polynucleotide therapy supports cellular regeneration and tissue repair at a deep level. Particularly effective post-transplant for reducing inflammation, improving scalp tissue quality, and supporting long-term follicular health.
Scalp Micropigmentation (FUE/FUT Scar Cover)

For clients with visible FUE dot scarring or a FUT linear scar, SMP can camouflage the affected area with precision pigment deposits, blending seamlessly with the surrounding scalp. Results are long-lasting and natural in appearance.

Trichological Consultation
All treatment plans begin with a full trichological consultation. We assess your scalp health, review your medical history, discuss your surgical timeline, and confirm which treatments are appropriate for your individual situation.
Personalised Treatment Plan
Based on your consultation, we create a bespoke plan — specifying which treatments are recommended, in what order, and at what stage of your transplant journey. Pre- and post-operative protocols are planned separately where required.
Treatment Delivery
Treatments are delivered at The PMU Clinic by your trichologist. We monitor your progress throughout and adjust the plan as needed, particularly in the post-operative phase as healing progresses.
Ongoing Review
Hair transplant recovery is a long-term process. We offer ongoing review appointments to assess graft growth, scalp health, and whether any additional support is beneficial as your results develop.
